Happy New Year.
I don't think I mentioned that I would be sending in my application to the USRSA after crossing over a year. I did the day after, and yesterday received my confirmation letter from the president, John Strumsky. Not real exciting, but when they update the site on March 1st, my name will be listed...at the bottom.
The group has gotten some recognition over the past year. If you go the site, http://www.runeveryday.com/, scroll towards the bottom. I believe there are a few links to the handful of stories written about different members. ABC news even did one about Mark Covert, who crossed 40 years this past July.
So did you resolve to get out there and exercise this year? Do it this year, actually follow through and do it. Do a streak if that's what it takes. It doesn't matter what kind of streak. Commit to stretch everday. Commit to walk 1 mile. Commit to do 10 push-ups. Just do something. Regardless of your schedule or situation, you have time to do something. You may not have an hour...but you have enough time to do 10 push-ups or stretch for 5 minutes.
That's about it for today. I'll be back soon to cover a couple more months from my journal.
